i saw a ducklet outbreak while (finally) playing the teal mask dlc, and was fucking around catching local mons (and hoping for a pink duck lmao) when one actually appeared!! i was so pleasantly surprised and decided to catch it mv only dream ball, so saved, failed to catch it, and reloaded - and fucking headmaster clavell calls me to tell me about blueberry academy, erasing my spawns - and the shiny!! i was soo pissed but i reclaimed it within a few hours ♡

a subtle shiny that looks virtually the same but glows a different color when attacking? such a cool concept. in execution? a pain in the ass to shiny hunt. i was watching the mr beast youtuber competition and was super invested when i soft reset over the zekrom at 1985 encounters. i glanced down, recognized the blue eyes and green horn tip, just as my fingers pressed the button, and watched in horror as the screen faded to black. my third shiny sr fail in these games. and at well over odds too. i need to pay more attention ???? 76.65% odds

oh my fucking god i did it again 1588 encounters in, a shiny type null flashed on my screen for a moment before i soft reset over it. that's two shiny type nulls i've reset over. i have a 50% fail rate 32.14% odds so thankful that the reclaim only took an extra 816 encounters (7 hrs, 8 min) i'm so scared when i hunt the last one that i'll fail it too ????
