Two teams pit themselves against one another to claim victory of the second ever ShinyDex Skirmish event!
This event has been put together to encourage participation from as many people as possible as we try to complete the Kanto Shiny Dex together, but with a nice element of competition involved!
As usual with Skirmish events, all participants who submit a shiny to the event will receive a special event-exclusive badge!

Our ambassadors have been split into 2 teams and will be fighting for your support while they try to get their team to be launched into victory!
This event has tied in nicely with the launch of Fire Red and Leaf Green on the Nintendo Switch. As such we're encouraging 'full odds' hunting in either new odds or old. We are also banning methods / games that go against the spirit of the event because of increased encounter spawn rates.
Certain games and methods are banned from this event, these are:- Diamond, Pearl & Platinum: Poké Radar – Banned
- X & Y: Chain fishing, Friend Safari, Poké Radar and Hordes - Banned
- Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire: Hordes, Chain Fishing and Dex Nav - Banned
- Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon SOS - Banned
- Let's Go Pikachu, Let's Go Eevee - Banned (With exceptions listed below)
- Sword & Shield: Dynamax Adventures and Brilliant Method - Banned
- Brilliant Diamond, Shining Pearl: Poké Radar and Underground Diglet Boost - Banned
- Legends Arceus - Banned
- Scarlet & Violet - Banned
- Legends ZA - Banned
- All Egg Hatching - Banned
- Any other not listed method or odds boosting are banned as this is a 1/8192 or 1/4096 event.
Exceptions:- Trainers may soft reset for the Legendary Pokémon: Mewtwo, Zapdos, Articuno and Moltres in Pokémon: Let's Go games.
- Trainers may soft reset for the Gift and Fossil Pokémon: Charmander, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Magikarp, Persian, Arcanine, Lapras, Hitomlee, Hitmonchan, Porygon, Omanyte, Kabuto and Aerodactyl in Pokémon: Let's Go games.
- Trainers may hunt the Eevee in Pokémon:XD Gale of Darkness
Scoring:- Every capture that has 8192 odds will be awarded 2 points per shiny registered.
- Every capture that has 4096 odds will be awarded 1 point per shiny registered.
Miscellaneous Rules:- If you are in a game with shiny charm you must provide proof in your picture with evidence of no shiny charm.
- All submissions are subject to requiring image proof of: Trainer ID and Date (If applicable, if no date the encountered shiny with the event timer in the background)
- Emulation is allowed BUT NO SPEED UP.
- NO MORE THAN 4 GAMES CAN BE HUNTED IN AT ONCE
- TURBO CONTROLLERS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED DURING THIS EVENT
All of these rules are subject to change up until the event starts or they are locked in.
