Team Showdown presents Showdown Shiny League - Season 2!
The Team was worked hard at updating our 'in between Showdowns' hunting model. While some of this may look familiar, there are definitely some big differences. Be sure to head over to the Team Showdown Discord and look at the #ssl-info channel for a full list of details about this update. ***** Do note that this end date is tentative and will be updated when Showdowns have been announced******
This is your chance to have some fun, hunt some shiny Pokémon, get points and try to claim number 1 on the Annual Leaderboard. SSL - Season 2 will last 8 weeks, with Season 3 starting right after. (note the end date mentioned in this is a place holder and SSL - Season 2 may end prior or later to that date)
Keep your eyes on the #ssl-challenge-targets channel. We will have a weekly featured hunt that will refresh on every Sunday (ET) and be posted in that channel. Be sure to grab the SSL Hunter role to make sure you are pinged as those go live. Also be sure to fill out the interest form here so we can add you as a participant for the event!
SSL Season 2 - Duel'ing Spirits
After harnessing the full power of the Chromatic Convergence, you hear a loud explosion! A path opens before you leading you away from the Convergence to a clearing. BOOM!! Another explosion! You rush over to see what is going on. When you crest a small hill you see that there are Pokemon battling. You notice something interesting about these ‘Dual’ing Spirits…
The rules are simple
Get Shinies, Get Points.
Make sure your console's date is set to the current date a bounty is posted or the submission will not count.
Each weekly target will have its own unique rules so make sure to be in the Discord and see what we are asking for each week.
Some examples of Challenges are:
- Generation/game specific
- Type
- Themed around a particular event (ie Pokémon day or a holiday)
**Most importantly please follow the submission rules below, if not submitted shinies will be denied with reason and you will be asked to resubmit fixing what is missing! **
- Fill out all required information in the submission form denoted with a red asterisk (gender, Pokémon name, ball type, etc.)
Photo Proof - Unless otherwise specified ALL submissions must have at minimum:
- Encounter
- The Trainer ID page
- The Date Captured Page (not needed for Generation 2 and 3 games)
Video Proof - You may also include an optional clip submission:
- A CLIP of the successful capture of the Pokémon if caught while live/recording.
- If you are able to get the encounter in the clip that is fine as long as the capture is present it will count, but the encounter portion is not necessary for proof. (Generations 2 and 3 submissions will need the encounter)
- Noncurrent console dates are ONLY acceptable if the capture happens LIVE on stream! Ex. there is a Pokémon that spawns in a particular weather in SwSh and is a Challenge Target and you set your console to match that weather type.
Please ask for help in the #ssl-submission-issues channel if there are any issues with a submission.
For a further explanation of how points are scored for the season (CP and PP) and for the annual leaderboard (LP) please head over to Discord and check the #ssl-info channel
For the full list of rules and limitations to submissions please go to Discord and look in the #ssl-rules channel after getting the SSL Hunter Role.
