After almost a month later following the end of Safari Week 2021, we finally found a shiny! Even though we didn't catch it I'm just so happy I noticed it after the giraffe incident! I'm considering this as phase 2 for my Girafarig reclaim!

Phase 2 for Budew! I fully spotted this for about 5 minutes then muscle memory made me run LMAO

Phase 4 for Ponyta! This just in - Geodude learns self-destruct at level 18!! It's a good thing I caught the first Geodude in this hunt WHOOPS!

My 5th full odds shiny I purposefully failed in my Egglocke and sadly it's one that I've wanted for YEARS now but I'm too committed to the bit at this point! Farewell Tauros, I'll hunt you one day down the road o7

I think this was my first fail in Violet where I couldn't stop Miraidon moving fast enough and it caused it to despawn :( luckily with the Switch 2 update coming soon, the larger render distance should prevent this from happening again!

Phase 1 for Kyogre! This Politoed was unfortunately sacrificed to keep the 1 Love Ball I had! This is also a strategy people use for the more difficult legendary targets, like this one. Let's hope I find a shiny Politoed one day in the future!

My 8th full odds shiny in the Egglocke that I purposefully failed!

AFTER 4 LONG YEARS OF SEARCHING I FINALLY FOUND THE GIRAFFE AGAIN! It ran from me, yes, but the true victory is I actually spotted it this time! Now it's 1:1! Added up with all the other safari shinies, I'm considering this as phase 5!

MINUTES after purposefully failing the Rookidee I found this as well? This is the 3rd full odds shiny I've had to KO! Unfortunately I don't have a Stantler at all yet, but that's alright! I'll hunt it eventually!

Phase 4 for my Safari Zone Girafarig reclaim!! Unfortunately this did end up fleeing after 3 balls, but, it's alright as I caught this during my first Safari Week as my main target!

My first shiny in Pokemon Crystal but unfortunately also my first ever shiny fail :( I had been hunting this off-stream on virtual console on my 3DS for a few months when it sparkled. I had it at low HP, I misclicked an attacking move instead of hypnosis and it fainted. I was devastated, but at the same time, motivated to persevere and reclaim this shiny one day.

Phase 2 for Treecko and another uncatchable Pooch!! Ironically, I'm not too upset finding these uncatchable shinies as it feels like a right of passage as a full odds shiny hunter! If you do the gen 3 starter hunts you're bound to find some and it felt kinda cool to finally have these uncatchables under my belt :3

HONOURABLE MENTION: Random shiny Skitty during my first ever Randomizer Sleeplocke! Unfortunately failed it as I was 25 hours into the stream and hit the wrong button!

This shined in the same DA as Yveltal!! I've wanted a shiny Manectric for ages but alas, I took the shiny legend! o7

Pokemon Home did an update to allow gen 9 to be compatible so I decided I wanted to fill out my regular living dex with legends I didn't have a non-shiny version of! So while gathering these legendaries I've happened upon some random 1/300 chance shinies! Also I straight up just didn't want this so I took the Reshiram I needed for my regular living dex! So is this reaaaally a fail? :3

Phase 1 and 2 for Ho-oh! This shined at the same time as a shiny Tyrantrum - it was an obvious choice so we technically failed this!

So! I know Claydol has explosion, but forgot about the fact Baltoy would too! With everything being level 60 in the Wild Area I tend to forget to check the move sets :D Normally I switch right into my Damp Pokemon but I goofed this time! Onto phase 3!

This was my first ever shiny in Pokemon Scarlet and was full odds but I intentionally failed it! Until I complete the Egglocke I'm doing in this game, I'm not letting myself catch ANY shiny Pokemon since I'm committed to not using shiny clause! You may be thinking, "Why not catch it anyways?" because I'm a masochist that's why! :D

Phase 72 for 1% Sudowoodo - I ran away by accident oop

Phase 30 for 5% Togepi! I attempted to use Imprison with the previous shiny Litwick but unfortunately this wild shiny Litwick was faster and used Momento!
