Originally tried to do the gift reset - full odds 280 in 6 hours - but switched to catch combo method in Route 4. 8 catch combo that broke and gave up for over a year before trying again this week (August 2025). First 11 catch combo took 4.5 hours and finally got a shiny on catch combo 23 where I would run away from any that I didn’t catch with the first ball.

I had just finished the Gastly hunt that was quick af so I thought let's do a Cubone from the Pokemon Tower itself. That and the Rock Tunnel had the same odds so I went to the rock tunnel to start my catch combo on some geodude to hit the 11 for rare spawns and go back to the tower but with just 1 geodude caught this boulder showed up LMAOO. I was so shook I forgot to catch in a premier ball lol
